I studied this in college 35 years ago It brushes over many topics skipping important relevant facts It is a good refresher course but it might not be suited to a beginner I strongly recommend the book on mathematical physics by Cecile DeWittMorette and Yvonne ChoqueteBruhat called Analysis Manifolds and Physics Volume 1 and Volume 2 Volume 2 specifically addresses applications and eamples of the geometry of gauge theories
